IP&C Champion Programme
This 16-week secondment into the Clinical Services department at St John WA was designed to work with the Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) Specialist to promote organisational awareness of Infection Prevention and Control topics including conducting training with groups in our College of Pre-Hospital Care (CPHC) while undertaking an IP&C quality improvement project focused on ambulance environmental cleaning.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I have also been incredibly fortunate to act as a representative on the St John WA Incident Management Team and have been involved in a number of critical projects relating to the delivery of care of COVID-19 patients in addition to taking a lead in communicating with all levels of the organisation around practice guideline changes related to COVID-19 and personal protective equipment.
