About Matt

Matt (Matthew) Didcoe is a freelance website developer, IT support guy and university student based in Perth, Western Australia. So far, he's managed to complete days of his life ( 1 ).

Ruby is Matt's language of choice but he's also spent some time in PHP and dabbled with Python, C and Java (under duress). He's worked with the Rails and Sinatra frameworks and loves HAML, Authlogic and StringEx along with his MacBook Pro running Git, TextMate, Passenger and MySQL.

Mapping and photography are two other areas that interest Matt.

Matt has been an organiser of the Perth Ruby on Rails meetup , been involved in the organisation of the 2005 and 2006 WA Web Awards along with BarCamp Perth 3.0 (and is in the process of organising the next one now).
